Catherine is from Southaven, Mississippi. After graduation she plans to stay in Starkville as a technician at MSU-CVM.
Mary Beth Caldwell
Mary Beth is from Columbus, Mississippi. She doesn’t currently have any set plans after graduation except for finishing her Equine Rehabilitation Certification through the University of Tennessee. She is also excited about traveling with friends and family as well as riding and traveling with her horses.
Martianna is from Jackson, Mississippi. She will be returning to Jackson to pursue a career in Small Animal Medicine. Her favorite memory from the program was learning to rump sheep during the Junior year.
Keith is from Meridian, Mississippi. After graduation he is going back to school to finish the required courses to apply to vet school. This favorite memory of the program was going to the West Point Animal Shelter and helping the animals in need and brightening their day. His favorite quote is “My brain… it cannot process failure. It will not process failure. Because if I sit there and have to face myself and tell myself, ‘You’re a failure’… I think that’s almost worse than death.” -Kobe Bryant
Kristin is from Southaven, Mississippi. After graduation she will continue her education at Mississippi State as well as work as a CVT for a local mobile veterinarian. She has enjoyed being Class President over the last 2 years and feels like this program helped give her the skills needed to succeed in this field.
McKenzie is originally from Starkville, but grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After graduation, she has accepted a seat in Mississippi State’s College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Class of 2024.
After graduation Megan will be working at a small animal clinic in Texas and incorporating canine rehabilitation into the clinic. Megan says her favorite rotation was Ambulatory Services because of the fast pace and variety of cases seen.
Amanda is from Flowood, Mississippi. After graduation she is moving to Memphis, Tennessee to work as CVT at Banfield Small Animal Hospital. She would like to personally thank the faculty and staff in the Veterinary Medical Technology Program for preparing her and giving her the skills and confidence, she needed to be successful in this field.
Jillian is from Canton, Mississippi. After graduation she has accepted a CVT position at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center in Flowood, Mississippi.
Alyssa is from Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduation she will be moving to Tupelo, Mississippi to become a surgical assistant and anesthesia technician at Magnolia Veterinary Surgery.
Macy is from Hendersonville, Tennessee. After graduation she will be returning to the Nashville area to work in a small animal hospital.
Katie is from Red Bay, Alabama and attended NWSCC in Phil Campbell, Alabama for her Associates degree. After graduation she has accepted a job as a full-time veterinary technician at Small Animal Hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Gracie is from Brandon, Mississippi. After graduation she has accepted a position at MSU-CVM working as an ophthalmology technician.
Jordan is from Sylacauga, Alabama. She has accepted a Technologist position in Ambulatory Services here at MSU-CVM.
Emily is from Florence, Mississippi. After graduation she intends to work as a Technician at MSU-CVM and looks forward to helping any animal, large or small!
Alexis is from Union City, Tennessee. She has accepted a position at MSU-CVM as a floater technician.
Bridget is from Huntsville, Alabama. She is currently deciding between job opportunities. She says she loved the MSU Veterinary Medical Technology Program because she learned so much and had an amazing opportunity to experience a multitude of unique cases.
Emily is from Brookhaven, Mississippi. She has accepted a position at MSU-CVM Veterinary Specialty Clinic as a Neurology Veterinary Technician.
Bridgit is from Platteville, Colorado. After graduation she is heading to Fort Collins, Colorado to get a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Animals, People, and the Environment while working at an emergency clinic part-time. She hopes to eventually work with the prevention of zoonotic diseases, especially in the Food Animal sector.
Beth is the Vice President of Bully’s Human-Animal Bond club. She’s from White Oak, Texas and is planning on staying at MSU-CVM as an anesthesia technician in the Animal Health Center.
English is from Houston, Texas. After graduation she will be returning to Texas in pursuit of a career in Emergency Veterinary Medicine, and later, applying to vet school. Her most fun and inspirational rotation was at MSU’s Animal Emergency and Referral Center!
Brooke is from Raleigh, Mississippi. After graduation she has accepted a seat in Mississippi State’s College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Class of 2024. She is beyond grateful for the experience that this program has given her. She plans on using the knowledge and experience gained throughout this program to help her exceed in veterinary school.
Malorie is from Waterloo, IL. After graduation she is moving to Louisiana to work at Vetnaturally, a small animal integrative medical practice.
Laurel has enjoyed her time in the Veterinary Technician Program at MSU. She has many enjoyable moments, but her favorite was when she was one on one with the animals. She loved going to the West Point Animal shelter and everyone there. Currently she does not have any set plans after graduation, but she knows she has the skillset to succeed.
Abigail is from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. After graduation she plans to work as a veterinary technician and further her education, ultimately pursuing her dream earning her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Brooke is from Waterford, Vermont. After graduation, she is going to work as a veterinary technician at a specialty clinic in Boston, Massachusetts.
Diana plans on furthering her education at Mississippi State after graduation. One of her favorite memories of the program was the sheep lab.
Madison is from Sandy Springs, Georgia. Following completion of the Veterinary Medical Technology Program, she has accepted a seat in Mississippi State’s College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Class of 2024. She feels like this program has set a foundation for veterinary school, with the similar courses and hands on learning approach.
Sarah is from Nashville, Tennessee. She will remain in Starkville after graduation and is looking forward to beginning her career as a technician!
Taylor is from Niceville, Florida. She has accepted a position as a LVT at Emergi-Pet, a small animal emergency clinic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Kyla is from Brookhaven, Mississippi. She has accepted a position at the MSU CVM Animal Health Center as an ICU Technician.
