Each spring, the College of Veterinary Medicine invites school groups and the public to tour our facilities and meet with our faculty, staff, and students. Registration for Open House typically opens in January of each year.
The MSU CVM Annual Open House is a great opportunity for community members and school groups to visit the College. The event is full of hands-on activities and learning experiences for visitors of all ages. Open House happens in the Spring of each year. Our most recent Open House was held in April of 2025.
Join CVM Dean Dr. Nick Frank as he shares what Open House means to the community and highlights the incredible work our students put into bringing this event to life.
The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Annual Open House kicked off with great energy and excitement. On Friday, we welcomed school-age children from across the state to explore the world of veterinary medicine. This year, more than two dozen schools joined us for a day of hands-on learning and interactive experiences.
On Saturday, we invite the general public to visit and experience everything our college has to offer. No registration is required, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for a day filled with engaging activities and behind-the-scenes insights into veterinary medicine.
This year’s theme, “Out of this World,” perfectly reflects the hard work and dedication our students have put into making this event a success. With booths and activities representing a wide range of veterinary specialties, from pathology to surgery, visitors get an inside look at what vet students learn and where they spend their time.
