About the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program

The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) curriculum provides a strong, multi-species foundation and offers the opportunity to focus on species or discipline-specific areas of interest. We are one of only a few colleges of veterinary medicine that - like most colleges of human medicine - require two full years of mentored clinical of mentored clinical education in addition to two years of preclinical (classroom and laboratory) coursework.
