Theriogenology
Theriogenology is the branch of veterinary medicine that focuses on animal reproduction, including the physiology and pathology of male and female reproductive systems. It encompasses the study and clinical management of breeding, pregnancy, parturition, and postpartum care, as well as infertility, reproductive disorders, and assisted reproductive technologies such as artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Theriogenologists work to optimize reproductive efficiency in livestock, companion animals, and wildlife, ensuring genetic improvement, herd productivity, and species conservation.
