Webb Awarded Coat of Honor
Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2026 graduate Dr. John Webb was presented with a Coat of Excellence on Monday, the day before his DVM graduation. Webb received the award on behalf of the Gunner Christopher Fund due to his outstanding care for and treatment of a patient at the Animal Health Center.
Joining Webb to celebrate his distinction were family members, faculty, staff and fellow students. He is the second student to receive a Coat of Excellence.
Coat of Excellence is a recognition program that allows the public to honor a faculty clinician, intern, resident, student or staff member who has touched an owner or pet’s life in a meaningful way. The honoree receives an embroidered coat with the name of the recipient and the name of the pet who received care, as well as personalized recognition in one of our hospital’s lobbies. The $10,000 tax-deductible gift also supports clinical research and care and helps advance our efforts of teaching the next generation of veterinarians.
