Coat of Excellence Program

Rewarding Excellence

A veterinarian in a white coat hugs a dog patientA white coat is a visual reminder of our moral and medical commitment to the practice of veterinary medicine and our patients. The Coat of Excellence program allows clients to support the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Health Center by honoring a special person who has touched their lives and the lives of their companion animals.

Our faculty, staff, and students provide excellent services for animals in their care. The Coat of Excellence recognition program allows you to honor an exceptional faculty clinician, intern, resident, student, or staff member who has touched you and your pet’s life in a meaningful way. The honoree receives an embroidered coat with the name of the recipient as well as your pet’s name and personalized recognition on our Coat of Excellence display in the hospital. Your fully tax-deductible gift of $10,000 also supports clinical research and care and advances the efforts of teaching the next generation of veterinarians.

When a Coat of Excellence is awarded, it shows that we believe in the recipient’s ability to uphold high professional standards for patient care and clinical excellence.
