Diagnostic Laboratory System

The Diagnostic Laboratory System is composed of four laboratories that are administratively housed within the College’s Department of Pathobiology & Population Medicine.

Through the network of these four laboratories: CVM Diagnostic and Aquatic Labs, Mississippi Veterinary Research and Diagnostic Lab, Poultry Research and Diagnostic Lab, and Aquatic Research and Diagnostic Lab, essential services in microbiology, anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, molecular diagnostics, serology and virology are provided to all 82 counties in Mississippi.

Animal Emergency & Referral Center - Flowood, MS

The Animal Emergency & Referral Center (AERC) is a state-of-the-art facility for advanced emergency, specialty and surgical care located in Flowood, Mississippi, that is a part of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

The AERC is an extension of the primary care veterinarian, working as a team to provide the most comprehensive and advanced care possible.
